Alvar Aalto Model 81b Dining Table
Designed in 1932 by world renowned modernist designer and architect, Alvar Aalto - The Model 81b is his quintessential table with a design that remains unchanged to this day.
It’s constructed out of Birch with a durable black laminate top, the legs are curved with Aalto’s bent lamination technique and the whole table disassembles with just a Phillips screwdriver.
This particular example was purchased in the 1980s by it’s former keeper and was used as a desk. It’s in good overall condition with a few marks to the top and sides of the frame. It stands solidly and is a great size for either a desk or dining table.
