Illum Wikkelso mainly designed upholstered furniture , and the design of this incredible ML90 sofa is him at his very best. This vintage piece dates to the early 1960s and was made by the quality maker A Mikael Laursen. It has original sprung cushions which are always much nicer than foam replacements , and a good sign of quality. Its on solid oak legs which with their crossover design is a really stylish feature.
Out of production for over 40 years now , there is an American company with the rights to re-issue them, with a starting price of just under $8000.
This particular example sports it’s original cream wool upholstery, it is in excellent condition and perfectly liveable. However, we have an excellent upholsterer and we will happily assist in reupholstery at cost price. We have access to fabrics by all major textile manufacturers; Kvadrat, Camira, Mourne, Bute, etc. Please contact us for a quote.
